GibbsCAM 2002 Now Shipping


Gibbs and Associates, developer of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for programming Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announced today that GibbsCAM 2002 is now shipping to customers. Most domestic customers should have received their copy by now or will shortly, allowing them to immediately start taking advantage of GibbsCAM 2002's capabilities.

Autodesk Inventor/GibbsCAM Interoperability Streamlined with Free Add-In from Gibbs

Attendees will see firsthand the integration between Solid Edge and GibbsCAM that assures a high level of interoperability between the two applications.

GibbsCAM earns Certified Select Product Rating From Unigraphics Solutions


Gibbs and Associates, developer of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for programming Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announces that they have been approved as a "Certified Select Product" by Unigraphics Solutions as part of the Solid Edge Voyager solution provider program. Reaching this rating required GibbsCAM to pass a series of qualification tests, which rigorously exercised the integration between Solid Edge and GibbsCAM, to assure a high level of interoperability between the two applications.

 

Daewoo Standardizes on GibbsCAM

Gibbs and Associates announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Daewoo Heavy Industries of America to exclusively provide GibbsCAM, Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programming software for CNC machines and controls, for Daewoo to resell in support of their machine tool sales. In addition, the agreement between the two companies not only allows Daewoo distributors to sell GibbsCAM software, but also makes GibbsCAM Daewoo's internal CAM system of choice.

GDLS STEP-NC/OMAC Demonstration At Scranton Facilitated by GibbsCAM


Gibbs and Associates, developer of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for programming Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announced today that GibbsCAM played a central role in the August 3rd STEP-NC/OMAC demonstration at General Dynamics Land Systems' Scranton manufacturing facility. The demonstration was the culmination of a 9-month effort by the project team, which consisted of the Army's National Automotive Center (NAC), General Dynamics Land Systems, Gibbs and Associates, STEP Tools Inc, Louisiana Center for Manufacturing Sciences, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, BA Solutions, and Numerical Control Services.

Gibbs and Associates, CAM developer of software for CNC machinery and controls, will be demonstrating Virtual Gibbs 2001 at EMO 2001 in Hannover, Germany on 9-19, September 2001 at Stand E82 in Hall 15. Virtual Gibbs 2001 extends system capabilities to support Multi-Task Machine (MTM) tools and also includes several expanded system capabilities. Gibbs and Associates Provides Extended Technical Support Hours

Gibbs and Associates, developer of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for programming Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, today announced it will extend its technical support hours. The new hours will be Monday - Friday, US Pacific Standard Time from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM and went into affect on Tuesday, January 23, 2001. This extended technical support period allows Americas, Mexico, Central America and South America as well as Canadian customers to speak directly to qualified technical support staff during critical early morning programming hours.
